Deck Structure

The deck of this Hovercraft is manufactured from fiberglass core sandwich resin infusion technology. Using a blown rigid PVC foam core, this provides a high tensile strength and low weight. Port and Starboard grab handle on the outer deck section.

Hull Structure
The Hulls is molded fibreglass with a gelcoat finish. Resin infusion system is used to produce the components.
This means that the reinforcements and the core materials are place in the mould dry and put under vacuum and the resin is drawn into the mould. This technique guarantees a quality part with a high glass to resin ratio. Light weight and high strength parts are produced using this system. This also provides an extremely high impact protection for the hull should it strike a solid object protruding from the water. There is 3/4 a cubic metre of polyurethane foam integrated within the hull structure to provide positive buoyancy.
This means that if the cockpit of the vessel was to be completely flooded the Hovercraft will remain a float and upright with a full payload on board.

Cockpit
The cockpit of the craft is also gelcoat-finished fibreglass and nonskid finish molded in to the floor. In the front sidewalls of the cockpit each side of the pilot is two lockable waterproof glove compartments that are used to house VHF radio etc. Two grab handles are installed on each side of the cockpit wall.
